Over a year ago, my car was involved in a small fender bender. The front left fender got a few dents but also revealed quite a lot of rust in the rocker panels. I already had some rust over the rear left wheel arch, so I decided to venture into rust repair.
Well, if only I knew what I was getting into...
Part I
1.
The little fender bender revealed quite a lot of rust at the bottom of the fender, where it attaches to the rocker panel.
2. More rust — front left rocker.
3. Some rust bubbles over the rear left wheel arch.
4. Let’s cut it out and see what’s hiding underneath... Ouch — the inner wheel arch is rusted! And I see some rust at the bottom of the arch too.
5. What’s hiding down there?
6. The rocker doesn’t look too good either.
OK. We know what we’re getting into. It’ll be easy. (Yes, I actually thought that!)
